Hilary Duff is one of the early 2000s’ most beloved figures, and now she’s back on the scene, maintaining a youthful glow and beautiful skin.

The actress and singer is officially back in the spotlight after announcing her return to live music via her new U.S. tour, which has her fans extremely excited. Before she made her announcement this morning, she began attending more public events, like the Academy Museum Gala, where not only fans, but aesthetics experts noticed how different her face looks, and how there’s been a ‘shift’ in her appearance. Read more about what they had to say and what they believe she might’ve gotten done below.

A Plastic Surgeon Analyzes Hilary Duff's 'New Face'

Dr. Jonny Betteridge is a plastic surgeon and cosmetic treatment specialist with his own practice in London, but he's also gone viral on social media for analyzing celebrities and their evolving faces, breaking down what kind of cosmetic work they may or may not have had done.

When new pictures of the Lizzie McGuire star at the Academy Museum Gala and Vogue World began to emerge, Dr. Betteridge made a response video to her "luminous and remarkably refreshed" appearance on Instagram, and noted that she's likely had some "careful aesthetic refinement" in addition to her natural aging.

"I could immediately tell that something had changed," says Dr. Betteridge after comparing pictures of her in 2023 to now. "To achieve this transformation, I think she's had Botox, a temple browlift, upper blepharoplasty, cheek augmentation, lip filler, and most likely, a face and neck lift within the last year."

Fans React To Hilary's New Face In The Comments Section

Although Dr. Betteridge's comments are more guesses on what the 2000s pop star might've had done, he adds that he believes those are the treatments she's undergone due to her features and the more "upward direction" they've gone in recently, noting that her "mid-face is repositioned higher," and more.

Once fans of Hilary's and followers of the viral doctor saw the photos and heard his comments, they weighed in on her new look themselves. Many of them were taken aback by the idea that she might've had these procedures done at just 38 years old, whereas some celebrities will wait until they're in their 40s or older.

"Face lifts at 38?" commented a user. "We women with regular incomes don't have a chance."

"She looks incredible," added another.

"She looks fantastic for sure," wrote a fan. "But she doesn't look like herself."

We'll be curious to see if, now that she's about to go on tour and will likely do some interviews, the singer-songwriter decides to open up a bit on her history with cosmetic treatments. But for now, even if she started early, many fans still believe she looks "amazing."
