Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Daniel Barrett expressed his surprise at her dramatic change and even jokingly suggested an otherworldly explanation for the Freaky Friday star‘s transformation.
In a video posted on his Instagram, Barrett, known for his work in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, was asked to evaluate celebrity plastic surgeries on a scale of 1 to 8. Regarding Lohan, 38, the doctor said: “‘I don’t even know if that’s plastic surgery, or if she was abducted by aliens. So you can’t even put that one on there.”

Barrett continued attempting to understand the Mean Girls alum's change in yet another Instagram video, as noted by The Daily Mail. He noted that she appeared to be a "completely different person" and also quipped that this could be due to an "alien invasion." He added: "What the eff is going on" while explaining that Lohan looked "a lot different and much improved" throughout 2024.
He shared with his followers: "I personally am stumped here. I don't know what the eff is going on because she looks so dramatically different from even just a couple years ago. You know, overfilled, kind of frumpy facial feature." The expert continued: "I mean, you know, she's still a beautiful woman, but you know there's certain things about her cheek that are just really exaggerated that you typically see, and she has a tired and aged appearance back in 2020, and 2022."
The surgeon added: "And then in 2024 her skin looks completely tight. I don't even see any of the nasal labial folds." He then said he wondered if she "just backed off all the filler, got everything dissolved... and did some dramatic skin tightening, combined with some weight loss, maybe Ozempic, some really good makeup." Regarding the mom of one, Barrett also said that her "eyes are tighter, they look completely different. Eyebrows look completely different. The lips, they look smaller and tighter. The chin looks more defined. This looks like a completely different person."
Earlier this month, Lohan’s dermatologist and “anti-aging specialist,” Dr. Radmila Lukian, posted a new photo with her. In the image, Lohan posed without makeup, putting her glowing, radiant complexion on full display. This came after Dr. Jonny Betteridge, an expert in aesthetics, proposed that the Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen actress might have invested as much as $300,000 on various cosmetic treatments.
Dr. Betteridge, the visionary behind JB Aesthetics in London and a professional with extensive experience in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, and Anesthetics, elaborated on the potential enhancements in a recent video shared on Instagram. Fans of Lohan in the comments section wrote that her “new face” was “worth every penny” and noted that Lohan seems to be in a “happier place and sober now too, which definitely shows.” In the clip, Betteridge explained why he believed the Parent Trap star recently underwent a face lift, a surgical brow lift, a rhinoplasty procedure and an upper eyelid surgery.
He shared that Lohan might've gotten "some degree of surgical facelift" that was done with a "endoscopic approach." The doctor also noted that Lohan could've gotten "botox, a lip lift, lip fillers, and veneers." He also took a closer look at her glowing, radiant and supple skin, crediting this to "laser resurfacing" and a "dermatologist-led skincare routine." Betteridge added: "And the cost of this, if you combine everything together, would be in the range of $200-300K."
