Taking selfies may seem like an easy task, but we all know it's much harder than it looks. Selfies take time, practice, and a whole lot of storage in your cell phone! Want to know how to take a nearly-effortless selfie everytime you whip out your camera? Follow these tips and see the difference!

selfie lighting

First off, lighting is everything when it comes to any photo. Make sure the lighting looks natural, and it's not directly hitting you in the face. But, you also need to make sure it's not too dim. Natural lighting, whether you're outside or having the sun shine out of you window, natural light is your best selfie friend! Just make sure your head is blocking the sun when you're taking selfies outside so keep the lighting from looking too bright.

The way you angle your phone makes a huge difference to your selfie. Most people try to take selfies with their phones way above their faces, and thats just dead wrong. Angle your phone closer and more in-line with your face to capture your best side!

Also, the way you position your head is just as important as the way you angle your phone. Don't have your face angled directly at the camera, try tilting your head SLIGHTLY instead. Tilting too far back will make you look like your about to snap your neck, so keep the head tilt minimal!

Most importantly, have fun with it! Getting too frustrated on taking the perfect selfie will show in your pictures, to stay calm, cool, and relaxed. Put on your favorite lipstick, grab your best friends, and take some stellar selfies!
