Hugh Jackman And Deborra-Lee Furness Finalize Their Divorce After 27 Years Of Marriage
In 2023, fans and followers of the famous actor could hardly believe his announcement that he and his wife of 27 years were ending their relationship. The couple raised two adult children together, Ava and Oscar, and previously lived in lavish homes together in New York and their home country of Australia.
In their statement, which was shared on social media, they wrote that family was their first "priority" and that they'd "undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness."
"We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives," they continued.
Since then, Hugh has been photographed out and about with theater legend Sutton Foster, who was his co-star in the 2022 Broadway revival of The Music Man. For the rehearsal and performance process, the two stars spent a lot of time together, and though they were both married at the time, eyebrows were raised when Sutton filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years in 2024.
The Greatest Showman star and the actress were photographed again together in mid-May, holding hands on the streets of NYC, just weeks before sources confirmed his divorce from Deborra was finalized.

Although some pop culture enthusiasts weren't expecting a statement from the Marvel actor's now ex-wife, she gave an emotional statement to The Daily Mail that explained how she was feeling after her split from her longtime partner.
"My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal," the 69-year-old wrote before calling her divorce "a profound wound that cuts deep."
Deborra also noted that she believed in a "higher power" and said that her faith has helped her "navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage."
Fans of Hugh's and other internet users are eagerly awaiting more details from his side of the story related to the end of his marriage with Deborra and new relationship with Sutton, but either way, it doesn't look like this was a laid-back or easy split whatsoever.
