During her conversation with the outlet, Shayk said that she does not pay too much attention to the outlets that cover their romance and breakup, content to keep the details of their relationship private. She explained, "My past relationship, it’s something that belongs to me, and it’s private."
"It’s just a piece of my inner self that I don’t want to give away," Shayk added.
With this kind of mindset, the model often opts not to pick up these magazines at all, preferring to view the coverage as "just noise."
"I don’t read what is out there. Honestly, I’m too busy raising a child," she tells Elle. "If they want to write articles [about me], they’re doing their job. I’m concentrating on my life and my friends. The rest is just noise."
Her relationship with Cooper has not been fazed by the coverage either. However, there is one piece Shayk finds difficult to understand: the term "co-parenting."
She explains, "I never understood the term co-parenting. When I’m with my daughter, I’m 100 percent a mother, and when she’s with her dad, he’s 100 percent her dad. Co-parenting is parenting."
