Now, everyone’s keeping their eyes peeled for the singer to reveal that she’s pregnant.
The internet thinks that the “Diamonds” singer is expecting her first child with her businessman boyfriend, Hassan Jameel, following a cryptic comment she made during an interview that seemed to hint that a little bundle of joy was on the way.
Rihanna chatted with Essence Magazine before heading into her Diamond Ball Gala on Thursday, which sparked pregnancy rumors after she mentioned having a hypothetical daughter. The red carpet interview was posted on the magazine's Instagram account and quickly became a viral sensation.
"I'm a black woman. I come from a black woman who came from a black woman who came from a black woman and I'm going to give birth to a black woman," she told the outlet. "That's who I am. It's the core of who I am in spirit and in DNA. And I always stand up for what I believe in and who I love and who I know, who I respect."
While the Fenty Beauty founder has neither confirmed nor denied that she's pregnant in the interview, it didn't stop her fans from creating celebratory memes and spreading the news on social media.
"I found out Rihanna is pregnant and I've cancelled my appearance at school today," tweeted one fan. "IM TIRED OF BEING CHEATED ON." Chimed in another, "Rihanna is pregnant. This is a lot to take in right now."
"Someone just said that Rihanna is pregnant with the album not the baby I can't," wrote one user, while another said, "rihanna is pregnant??? the baby's name is probably album cuz we never gonna see it lmfao."
