Ivanka Trump Is Slammed As ‘Out Of Touch’ For Posting Pictures Of Her Trip To Wyoming After Donald Trump’s Budget Cuts Created A National Parks Staffing ‘Crisis’: ‘It’s Pathetic’

“Out west” is the new “out east” for many celebs and avid travelers alike. From skiing in Big Sky, Montana to hiking in Utah and Nevada, heading over to what were once thought of as flyover states are now destinations for celebrities like Ivanka Trump. The president’s daughter took to Instagram to share photos of her recent travels to Wyoming, but users in the comment section thought this move was way out of touch.
Wyoming houses seven national park sites, and though Ivanka didn’t specify that she was visiting protected land, odds are she spent time in Yellowstone or the Grand Tetons. The very parks that Donald Trump’s Fy 2026 plan cuts over $1B in government funding to. Ironic, in a not so funny way. Keep reading for more information.
Ivanka’s Instagram post included a few snaps of herself, including two with her husband, Jared Kushner, but most of her shots were off the gorgeous landscape and wildlife that Wyoming has to offer. Wild horses running about, fields of daisies, a baby deer in a picture perfect woodland backdrop.
What social media users were quick to point out, though, is that the very outdoors that Ivanka was enjoying is the same that will see less protection in less than a year. Trump’s financial plan includes over a billion dollars in cuts to the National Park Service, including about $900M removed from general park operations, which is the largest reduction in NPS history. If this clears, national park staff numbers could shrink from over 13,000 to barely 8,000. But yes, Ivanka, enjoy your summer vacation.
