Jelly Roll Flaunts His 300-Lb Weight Loss At The 2026 Grammy Awards
At the beginning of the month, many of today's biggest stars and musicians gathered in Los Angeles for the 2026 Grammy Awards.
One of the most anticipated stars to see on the red carpet, especially in the country category, was Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord. That night, he stepped out alongside his wife, podcaster Bunnie XO, and flaunted his dramatic weight loss. He wore a formal all-black outfit, including a black collared shirt and silver statement chain, as he posed next to his wife, who was in a dramatic red lace gown.
Fans were very excited to see him posing for photographers, especially since he recently made the tremendous milestone of a 300-lb weight loss, after years of documenting his journey with his fans and opening up about his struggles. He's posted videos of the healthier foods he's been eating, the exercises he's tried, and the people he's relied on to help him reach a much lighter, maintainable size.
Social Media Users Slam Jelly Roll For Not Addressing The ICE Raids Following His Grammy Win
The night turned out to be incredibly successful for the "Save Me" singer, who ended up taking home three Grammy awards that night. During his acceptance speeches, he referenced his relationship with God, spoke about how religion and family changed his life, and more.
However, things took a bit of a turn at the press conference following his wins, where he was asked to address the recent ICE raids that have been stirring the nation. Numerous artists referenced the raids in their speeches, which is likely why he was asked to give his opinion on the situation.
The singer called himself a "dumb redneck" before saying, "So, this is the truth, and I'm glad somebody asked because I love talking about this stuff, and people care to hear my opinion, but, so, I can tell you that people shouldn't care to hear my opinion."
"I didn't have a phone for 18 months," he added. "I'm so disconnected from what's happening."
After the video of his controversial answer was shared on social media platforms, some fans and other internet users ended up slamming the award-winner, calling him a "coward" for not speaking out against the ICE raids or sharing a more thoughtful opinion.
"Mind you, he was screaming on live tv with a Bible, and now he's disconnected when it comes to human rights," wrote an X user, referencing his acceptance speech.
Another X user wrote that Jason was "ignorant" and added, "What a privilege it is to be so disconnected from the world that you don't know that your neighbors are getting killed and kidnapped."
"This whole 'I don't do politics' needs to go," commented a user. "When you're too scared to answer, we know what your true answer is."
