Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez recently put their “fixer-upper” beach property on the market for $7.99 million.
The couple bought the Malibu home together in 2019 from actor Jeremy Piven for $6.6 million, but apparently the property needed some changes to match J Lo and A-Rod’s tastes. In fact, the couple even enlisted the help of Joanna Gaines, the famous HGTV star of “Fixer Upper,” in remodeling the home.
Despite all that work, the couple has decided to give up the property.

When the couple had originally purchased the house, Lopez discussed her decision during a visit to The Ellen Show. She described the home as a "fixer-upper next to the water."
It only makes sense, then, that they would recruit the queen of fixer uppers, Gaines, to renovate the property to their tastes, and they must have made some pretty significant improvement since the property is worth another million now.
According to Hello!, the 5-bedroom and 4-bath home has all of the features you'd expect from an $8 million beach house--incredible views, ocean-facing outdoor decks, a sauna, and giant closets--to name a few.
The home is definitely built for luxury. Plus, the article explains,"The master suite takes up the entire top floor."
This is definitely not the first property the couple has invested in.
The article explains, "Alex and Jennifer have an impressive property portfolio between them, including two mansions in Los Angeles, a Manhattan penthouse which is currently on the market for £19million ($24.99million), and Jennifer's £7.6million ($10million) Hamptons mansion, which she has owned since 2013."
Although the couple and their family spent most of quarantine in Miami, they have more recently been spotted in New York City, spending some quality time together in Central Park.
