Jennifer Lopez Steps Out On Stage In A See-Through Sparkling Jumpsuit
On Tuesday, July 8th, the Hustlers actress performed in her opening night concert of her Up All Night tour, where she'll be hitting different countries and singing some of her greatest hits. Her first show of the tour, which will conclude in August, was in Pontevedra, Spain, at Parque de Tafisa. She performed some of her most famous songs, including hits like "Let's Get Loud" and "If You Had My Love."
At one point during the show, the 55-year-old wore a sheer jumpsuit covered in ruby red embellishments that showed off her enviable fit figure. The jumpsuit covered her entire body, and the red sequins going up and down created an almost floral effect that highlighted her curves. As part of the on-stage look, she left her famous blonde highlighted locks down and a simple pair of earrings, likely keeping her accessories to a minimum due to all the dancing she was doing on stage.
During her time in the dramatic jumpsuit, Jennifer broke out into one of her newer songs, "Wreckage Of You," her first breakup song since her divorce from on-and-off again partner, Ben Affleck.
The Internet Slams Jennifer's New Breakup Song On Social Media
While on stage in Spain, the mom-of-two surprised her audience when she decided to debut a new single, "Wreckage Of You," during her long set, a track she hasn't officially released yet from her upcoming album.
Fans quickly realized the song was a breakup ballad as she sang heartfelt lyrics like, "Thank you for the scars you left on my heart" and "Because of you, I am stronger, wiser/Better than I've ever been."
After rekindling their relationship and marrying in 2022, Jennifer and the Good Will Hunting actor decided to call it quits one last time, divorcing earlier this year. Therefore, the internet and her fans could only assume the new song is about her latest ex.
However, the song didn't get the best reviews from some critics on the internet, who saw clips of her performing it in the sparkling jumpsuit and were unimpressed.
"The song is hideous," wrote an Instagram user under a video of her singing.
"Her voice is cringe," commented another. "I'm embarrassed for her."
"This is cringey and bad," added a critic.
"I think it's time for her to take a break from the spotlight."
Another Instagram user acknowledged that Jennifer looked "beautiful" on stage in her jumpsuit and that her body was "fire," but added, "I can't listen to her sing."
"How she got this far as a singer is beyond me," they continued.
We'll be curious to see if the internet changes their minds when they hear the official recording of "Wreckage Of You" when her new album comes out at some point, but for now, they remain disappointed.
