On Radio Man’s Instagram, John can be seen stepping out of the hotel he was staying in, sporting a blue shirt and red hoodie, as he spoke to the film-industry figure and agreed to sign some photographs for him and his videographer. His face and body are visibly slimmer, making it no wonder some of his fans hardly recognize him.

Once the video was shared on Instagram last month, it didn't take long for it to go viral, as it was a stark image of just how much weight the Treme star has lost over the years. In a 2010 People interview, John opened up about the motivation and realizations that led him to want to make such a drastic lifestyle change, stating, "I wanted to live life better."
After seeing the new video of him in New York, fans were not just impressed by how much weight he lost, but seemed taken aback by his transformation, writing comments that they hardly recognized him.
