Justin Bieber is once again causing a stir with something he posted on Instagram, less than two months after posting a shirtless video of himself rapping about being “high.”

The latest post to raise eyebrows consists of a meme seemingly mocking newly-engaged women, which the internet believes is in reference to his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, who got engaged to Benny Blanco at the end of last year.

Did Justin Bieber Seemingly Shade Ex Selena Gomez On His Instagram Story?

On Wednesday, April 2nd, the father-of-one, 31, took to his Instagram Story to share a meme featuring a scene from The Lord of the Rings. The meme shows Gollum holding up a gold ring and staring at it with awe and amazement, and has the caption: "Girls on social media when they get engaged."

This instantly made the internet believe that the "Yummy" singer was secretly shading the Only Murders in the Building actress, who has proudly been showing off her sparkler since Blanco popped the question at the end of last year.

"Justin Bieber going crazy because of Selena's engagement?" asked one person on X, in disbelief. "Like he married 8 YEARS AGO and has a child… that's so embarrassing. The only time I feel sorry for Hailey," wrote a second, in reference to wife Hailey Bieber, as a third concurred: "Isn't he basically shading Hailey too then?"

More Internet Reactions

"Why is he publicly confirming he's bothered?" asked a fourth fan, followed by the crying emoji. "Oh this is embarrassing. Mind you he started crashing out after Selena's engagement," wrote a fifth, as a sixth added: "What a pathetic mean little boy."

"Such an immature omg, he's a FATHER of a baby, it's been almost a decade when will he get over it?" questioned another X user. "He's just childish," slammed another. "This man seriously needs help," wrote another, which someone else echoed, writing: "I really think he needs some help."

The comments continued over on Reddit, as one user wrote: "Ok this is weird. He's needs to get off social media... Why is he shading his ex at his grown age? "I literally can't think of anyone else he would be talking about," wrote a second, as a third one insisted the post "had to be about Selena." "Even if it's not about Selena, he had to know that's where people's minds would go when he posted this," a fourth chimed in.
