During a stop on her Lifetimes tour in Tokyo, the couple posed for photos with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife. For the meeting, the singer wore a bold brown skirt set that included a cropped button-up sweater, a matching mini skirt, a black turtleneck underneath, sheer tights, and knee-high leather boots. Trudeau kept things classic in a gray suit.

Kishida’s wife opted for a more traditional ensemble: a patterned pleated midi dress topped with a navy blazer and paired with gray pumps.
“Former Canadian Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau visited Japan with his partner and joined my wife and me for lunch,” Kishida wrote on X, translated from Japanese to English.
The 53-year-old then reposted the photo with the caption, “Great to see you @kishida230. Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko. Thank you, Fumio, for your friendship and your continued commitment to both the international rules-based order and to a better future for everyone.”
But beyond the unexpected meetup, fans couldn’t stop buzzing about the mom of one’s outfit—with many commenting that her look felt noticeably out of place for such a diplomatic setting.

Perry and Trudeau have been in a headline-making romance that went public in late 2025, after both had recently experienced breakups. She ended her nine-year relationship and engagement with actor Orlando Bloom in June 2025; the two share a daughter, Daisy.
Trudeau, meanwhile, separated from his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage, and they share three children.
