Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are unsurprisingly getting a lot of media coverage right now, following the shocking news that the Babygirl actress, 58, filed for divorce from her husband of 19 years on September 30th.
While nobody is entirely certain about what led to their marriage failing, the 57-year-old country musician isn’t coming across too well right now. Shortly after a resurfaced clip of the “Blue Ain’t Your Color” singer changing the lyrics to a song he initially wrote about Nicole and redirecting them at his 25-year-old female guitar player went viral, another video has also been making the rounds online.
And once again, the “Somebody Like You” singer, who shares daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret with Nicole, isn’t exactly winning people over, with many thinking he had checked out of their marriage long before last month’s divorce announcement!

Keith Urban’s Awkward Reaction To Being Asked About Nicole Kidman In Resurfaced Interview
The Daily Mail Australia recently shared a video of a resurfaced interview from Australian radio program Gold 101.7’s Jonesy & Amanda on September 2024 on TikTok, which shows Urban getting visibly uncomfortable when he is asked questions about the Oscar-winning actress. In particular, their “amazing love story.”
Co-host Amanda Keller asks the “Messed Up as Me” hitmaker a seemingly innocent question about his relationship with the Nine Perfect Strangers actress – specifically whether he believes their romance was “fate.” Rather than leaning into the sentimental moment and gushing over his wife, as he has done in the past, Urban looks visibly uneasy.
Keller reminisces about the couple’s first meeting at the G’Day L.A. gala ball back in January 2005, and asks the Grammy winner: “If you hadn’t both been there that day, would your paths have inevitably crossed? Or maybe this incredible life story wouldn’t have happened.” Instead of praising his wife or saying positive things about their romance, he flatly responds: “No, I think it would.”
Keller presses further, asking if Urban believes their meeting was fate. He bluntly replies: "No idea." You can cut the tension with a knife! Throughout the rest of the interview, Urban's answers about Kidman are consistently short, blunt, and noticeably devoid of his usual warmth; but that doesn't seem to stop Keller from asking even more questions and reflecting on the moment they first met…
She goes on: "I just often think that. That if you weren't at that event, maybe you don't have the same friendship group, it may never have happened." After this sentence, Urban seems to grow even more uncomfortable. After fidgeting, he then removes his jacket and cuts her off with a quick: "You never know. Anyway, moving on." It's a tense moment that, in hindsight, feels telling.

TikTok Reactions
Naturally, TikTok users had a lot to say about the resurfaced interaction, with many thinking it speaks volumes about the state of their relationship at the time.
"He took off his jacket for a reason," observed one TikTok user. "Subconscious is showing," speculated a second, as a third thought: "He looks extremely uncomfortable." "Didn't even try to hide it!" exclaimed a fourth, as a fifth noted: "His face turned SO fast."
"His body language says it all," wrote a sixth, as a seventh echoed: "You can see his body language, he is so uncomfortable talking about her." "Normally he'd be all gushy, the signs were obviously there," an eighth pointed out. "So clearly it was over long before this announcement," declared a ninth, as a tenth concurred: "Oh, he was over it."
