Kelly Ripa might seem like she has the picture perfect family, but even she has to deal with some harsh criticism from her children–especially for her social media behavior.
The Live With Kelly and Ryan star and her daughter, Lola Consuelos, disagreed about a few major points of social media behavior in a video for People. And they’re not exactly what you’d expect.
Specifically, Lola took issue with how her mom responded to the haters–and the fact that she responded at all.
Keep reading for more details.
During their talk, Lola explained that she didn't see the point in responding to Instagram critics who "are sitting at home wishing they were you."
Her mom, however, saw the situation differently, explaining, ""That's why the people follow me. They want to see it."
The TV star also went so far as to say that she had a "healthy relationship" with these haters. She explained, "I think my haters and I have a healthy relationship with each other. I think that it's a give-and-take. Because I think that the people that I clap back to are very clever; they're usually very funny; I usually get a good chuckle out of it. Then, they deserve the little pepper."
Lola, however, remained unconvinced, responding, "We don't need any clapbacks. Irrelevant people should stay out of our lives."
That's not the only problem Lola saw in her mom's social media presence. The 19-year-old also called her mom's butt selfie (reasonably called "belfie") "ridiculous."
Understandably, she also thinks the frequent thirst traps of her dad, Mark Consuelos, are "disgusting."
When Ripa brought the pictures up, Lola definitely had a good reason to cringe.
She explained, "That's disgusting. I blocked that out of my mind. I forgot that you even did that."
