KFC is the most recent fast food chain under fire in the “shrinkflation” Subreddit. It seems the “finger-lickin’ good” chicken is lacking in size, according to one post.

An unhappy customer posted a photo of a sad-looking tender beside their hand for scale, writing: “kfc’s chicken ‘tenders'” and proclaiming “never going back to kfc again.” Read more about the post—and what others are saying—below.

KFC Fans Complain About Shrinkflation

Complaints about fast food “shrinkflation” have been widespread in recent years. Customers are continuously disappointed with everything from not-so-big McDonald’s breakfasts to shrinking Chick-fil-A tenders.

In the post about the sad-looking KFC tender, one commenter wrote: “That’s just two chicken nuggets in a trenchcoat,” highlighting how absurdly small the piece looked. Others leaned into the wordplay: “Tenderly small.”

Another poster plainly urged readers to “Avoid KFC.” It sounds like a boycott may be in order for some people.

But it seems that if consumers want to avoid paying high prices for small portions, they'll have to avoid fast food altogether. More and more often, it costs a lot to eat less. Whether you're shelling out cash for a tiny Taco Bell burrito or a measly McChicken, your best bet may just be to cook yourself up a meal at home.

Luckily, there are tons of fast food dupes out there to stock up on at the grocery store. Your wallet (and stomach) will thank you!
