King Charles and Prince Harry met for tea at Clarence House last month, making royal fans hopeful that the father and son were one step closer to a highly-anticipated reunion.
However, that reunion could now be in jeopardy following the news that Prince Harry is kicking off his private security quest again, leaving his father feeling “betrayed” and “exhausted.” Keep reading for more info…
King Charles Is Reportedly 'Exhausted' With Prince Harry's New Security Demands
According to multiple reports, the Duke of Sussex, 41, is requesting an official security review now that he is planning to spend more time in the U.K., as he still believes he and his family are entitled to publicly funded police protection due to ongoing safety concerns.
The new request has reportedly blindsided royal aides and frustrated King Charles, who thought the issue had been settled in court. An insider reportedly told Rob Shuter's ShuterScoop: "It's the same fight on repeat. Harry won't accept he's no longer entitled to taxpayer-funded protection. The King's exhausted."

King Charles and his advisers had reportedly hoped that the Court of Appeal's ruling upholding the removal of Prince Harry's police protection would close the chapter once and for all. But that hasn't been the case.
"The King cannot and will not lobby – that's inappropriate," a palace aide dished to the Sunday Times. "His representatives cannot advocate for policy outcomes, particularly in relation to his own family."
Another palace insider explained that the royal household's representative on Ravec (the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, overseen by the Home Office) serves only as a liaison, not as an advocate for individual royals.
"If you put yourself in the mind of a father who is repeatedly told he should and could intervene, that is not very helpful," the insider said, adding: "It complicates matters and shows a lack of understanding about the reality of the situation."

Prince Harry Wrote To The Home Office Without Informing King Charles Or The Palace
Prince Harry reportedly wrote to Home Office Minister Shabana Mahmood without informing the palace, hence the King feeling blindsided. A source told The Times: "I can confirm that the duke has written to the new Home Secretary asking for a risk management board to be conducted."
"Charles felt betrayed. He thought they were rebuilding trust. Then Harry dragged everyone back into the drama," Shuter's insider said, adding that Prince Harry still believes he is entitled to the same level of security as older brother Prince William.
However, as insiders stress, the decision has nothing to do with the King. But Prince Harry still isn't letting things go! “It's not the King's decision – it's government policy,” one palace source said. Another added: "Charles is furious. He can't change the rules, and Harry won't stop pushing."

Was Prince Harry Stalked On His Last UK Visit?
Prince Harry may have some grounds for being scared for his safety, as it has been claimed that a stalker allegedly came "within yards" of him on two separate occasions last month. And he unsurprisingly views these encounters as proof that his current level of protection is insufficient.
Even so, palace insiders suggest the situation is no longer about safety alone. "This isn't about safety anymore. It's about power – and Harry's losing both," an insider said, as per the Royal Observer.
King Charles, for his part, is reportedly trying to stay out of it, but it may mean that their reunion is on pause. "It's not going to help matters. We're back to where we were," another source told the Sunday Times.
