Kourtney Kardashian is usually one of the most private of the sisters, but the Poosh founder recently opened up about her mental health–specifically her struggles with anxiety. In an interview with Health, the reality star revealed how she copes with anxiety through therapy.
The 41-year-old also previously explained that she uses diet and exercise to help herself feel better.
In the interview, Kardashian tells Health, "For the past three years I’ve been going to therapy. Once a week I go to a double session. I look forward to it every week! Having that awareness, I find that I can almost catch things before they become a bigger deal."
This is not the first time Kardashian has opened up about her anxiety. She spoke about the physical symptoms as well back in 2016.
In a post on her app, the star explained, "Everyone deals with hard times in their lives differently. I’m generally not a nervous person but I get anxious. I also get nauseated; I feel like I can’t eat when it is really bad, but I force myself to stay healthy."
She also explained that she avoids any foods that could exacerbate her anxiety when she is feeling stressed--ingredients like caffeine, alcohol, and sugar.
The reality star also relies on exercise to keep her feeling better.
She explained, "One thing I’ve found that really helps is working out. Of course, when I’m having an anxious day, my workout is so much harder. But that’s when it feels good to power through it! I try to exercise 5 days a week."
