Kylie Jenner has been in the headlines a lot recently due to her love life, but now she’s under fire for her clothing line, which is allegedly selling low-quality clothes at high prices.
Internet users have been slamming the reality star after she posted a video of herself in a faux leather miniskirt from her clothing brand Khy, which is being sold for almost $200. Reddit users gathered to comment on the shirt looking a lot cheaper than it’s being sold for, comparing it to something that could be sold on Temu. This is not the first time the young billionaire has been accused of overcharging for her products, and it may have an impact on her business. Read more about her controversial skirt below.
Kylie Jenner Posts A Video Of Herself Wearing Her $178 Faux Leather Micro Miniskirt
The 27 year-old has been super busy these days, juggling her kids, attending prestigious events with her boyfriend, and running her businesses, one of which being her clothing brand, Khy by Kylie Jenner. The clothing line, which came years after she made herself a name in the beauty industry, officially launched in early November 2023. In a press release to promote the brand, Kylie stated that Khy was an "homage to the limitless possibilities of fashion."
"We are breaking down barriers and will redefine the meaning of a designer brand, with creativity and quality at a better price," she added.
The first collection from the fashion brand included 12 items that were primarily made out of faux leather materials, like a trench coat, mini dress, and hooded cropped jacket. Since then, Khy has been rolling out chic yet minimalistic fashions that offer a variety of styles to customers, from long, more formal spring dresses to casual tank tops.
Last month, Kylie posted a TikTok video of herself posing in her "favorite mini skirt" from her clothing brand to announce that it was restocked on Khy's website. She paired it with a black 'baby tee' from the brand and twirled around to show off the entire skirt and flaunt her fit figure. However, since the TikTok has been posted and gone viral, internet users had a lot to say about the skirt's price and quality.

Internet Users Slam Kylie's 'Overpriced' Skirt And Other Products On Reddit
After her micro miniskirt video went viral, internet users began sharing it on other social media platforms, as they had a lot to say about not only the skirt itself but the overall quality of Khy items. One Reddit user shared the video and noted that the mom-of-two subtly adjusted her skirt twice in the video, leading them to believe it's not such a great product.
"This is one of those things you buy and wear out for the first time, but it doesn't fit properly, and you have to keep constantly adjusting it, and it ends up ruining your whole night," wrote the Reddit user in their post.
"Nobody's buying a skirt you had to pull up twice in a 6-second video," added the user.
This caused numerous Reddit users to weigh in, noting that the skirt looked as though it was made out of cheap materials, so it should cost less than $178.
"The skirt seems to be Temu quality and ridiculously overpriced anyway," added a Reddit user.
"She makes clothing that only works if you sit still and take pictures," wrote another.
"No practical use outside of specific poses."
Others accused the beauty mogul of having her clothes made overseas for "dirt cheap" before putting her brand name on them and drastically raising the price.
"It's the oldest trick in the book," wrote a Reddit user.
While Kylie hasn't acknowledged any negative feedback from her clothing items, she continues to plug on as a businesswoman, promoting new items from her beauty line and encouraging her fans to buy her products while making several red carpet and public event appearances.
