Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are catching heat from fans who think they’re being a little irresponsible in raising their daughter, Stormi Webster. The seven-year-old joined her father on stage during his concert in Tokyo and fans think she’s a little young for that kind of performance. Keep reading for more information.
Stormi Performs On Stage At Travis Scott’s Concert
Earlier this month, Scott, 34, was putting on a concert in Tokyo when he welcomed Stormi, 7, onto the stage for his song, “Thank God,” which he released in 2023. Stormi, dressed in a graphic tee shirt, fur coat, and brightly colored braids, wore large headphones to protect her ears from the loud music and audience.
According to some videos taken by fans at the concert, the rapper held his microphone up for Stormi so she could perform her line as it appeared on the original track, saying, “That’s right, Daddy,” following Scott’s line of: “Storm’s a minor but you know she livin’ major.” He then prompted the audience to “Give it up for Stormi!” before she left the stage.
Social Media Reactions
While it might have been entertaining for the crowd, many fans disagreed with Kylie and Travis's decision to let her on stage, reasoning that seven years old isn't quite old enough for the type of atmosphere that goes along with Scott's music. "No amount of security would be enough for my child to be on stage in that type of crowd," one person wrote on Instagram. "Very dumb parenting choice."
"That's not a place for a 7 year old," another person agreed.
"Something uncomfortable about doing this to young children," a third person posted.
"I wish celebrities would just let their kids be kids and stop parading them around," another comment reads.
"These people love exploiting their kids," a final fan said.
