Just because a space is small doesn't mean it can't be fabulous. Lifestyle blogger Roxanne West has achieved just that: she transformed a 100-square-foot space into a completely warm, inviting and functional living room. 1. Use a side table as your coffee table
Your coffee table doesn't have to be this big, heavy piece--you can utilize a smaller side table and still get your stylized decor and functionality out of it. "I utilized the coffee table to style some of my favorite fashion and design books and stacks of magazines for guests to peruse during a visit," West told The Every Girl. Note how you can still rest a cup of coffee (or champagne) on the surface as well.

2. Glass shelving
Open shelving with glass sides or bottoms is the perfect, lightweight piece (the sides can feel heavy and make the room appear smaller by closing it off). "Our white and glass shelving ended up being a great way to keep some of my office pieces organized and it’s a piece of furniture that isn’t too chunky or invasive," West explains.

3. Furniture on wheels
Buying furniture on wheels gives you the option of easily moving them when you have guests over. It gives the room boundless versatality. "This bar cart is on wheels so we can move it around to suit the needs of the room, making it perfect for this transitional space," West explains.
