While much of America was gearing up for Super Bowl weekend, Meghan Markle made a stunning red carpet appearance on February 7, radiating Old Hollywood glamour at the 2026 Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles.
The actress wore a custom strapless champagne satin gown by New York–based Harbison Studio, featuring a sweetheart neckline accented with black trims. The look was elevated with voluminous black velvet sleeves that draped off her shoulders and a silk shawl that flowed behind her.

The mother of two completed the ensemble with strappy black Stuart Weitzman sandals, statement earrings, and her hair styled in a regal updo. Her makeup was understated, letting the gown take center stage.
The star-studded event marked the kickoff of Black History Month, celebrating, honoring, and raising funds for Black-owned businesses. Founded by Aurora James, the 5th annual gala paid tribute to Tina Knowles for her advocacy.
However, fans, accustomed to seeing Meghan in baggy suits and midi dresses, felt this glamorous look seemed out of character for her.
“Why can she never have a dress that is well tailored and fits her?” said one user on Instagram. Another wrote, “Does not fit properly.” Someone added, “This looks like a bad ’90s classy threads prom dress.” Another commented, “She looks nice but the top is ill-fitting. In fact, her clothes often look ill-fitting.”

Other fans were taken aback that Prince Harry didn’t attend with her, though considering that both are focused on their own careers and projects, it wasn’t entirely unexpected. Still, recent sources have suggested that their marriage is “nowhere near perfect.”
According to a source, the couple are now “spending a ton of time apart” due to their “opposite schedules.”
A source told Star magazine that the Suits actress “is still laser focused on the Hollywood scene and building her brand, but Harry’s lost interest in schmoozing with Tinseltown types.” The insider added that hanging out with Hollywood’s elite “was a novelty at first” for Harry, but now his desire has “worn off and it’s just a bore to him.”
“Harry is pouring all his energy into his Invictus Games Foundation and chasing speaking gigs wherever he can find them,” the source revealed. As a result, the couple “are on opposite schedules” and have consequently been “spending a ton of time apart.”
“Fact is, the marriage is nowhere near as perfect as she likes to make it seem,” the source said, adding, “When the cameras are off, their lives are separate.”
