It seems Blake Lively is unable to escape controversy these days, but she doesn’t appear to be making it easier for herself, either. After receiving immense backlash for being named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world, she still showed up to the gala the magazine hosted, and even other celebrities have started calling her out—namely Megyn Kelly, who called her “a ridiculous joke.”. Keep reading for more information.

Megyn Kelly Calls Out Blake Lively

Megyn Kelly, Fox News anchor, spoke to DailyMail just after the gala, and was unafraid to share her true thoughts on the situation: "It's a ridiculous joke," she said, of Blake Lively's attendance. "She shouldn't be there. She has no influence over anything.

Lively even gave a speech at the event, beginning with, "I have so much to say about the last two years of my life, but tonight is not the forum." Way to be slick...

"I think she launched a fake 'Me Too' allegation against [Baldoni]," Megyn continued, "and she's lived to regret doing so because virtually every allegation she's made has fallen apart. And so, for her to be doing so, to try and ruin a man over absolutely nothing is a scandal."

Blake Lively Named 'Influential' By Time Magazine

It was recently announced that the actress was part of TIME Magazine’s 2025 ‘TIME100" annual list of who they’ve declared the "100 most influential people in the world." While there are 100 influential people on the list, ranging from musicians to politicians, people online were shocked to see that the Gossip Girl alum was included, especially given her most recent drama.

Other than her alleged poor behavior on several film sets and press interviews, internet users also voiced their disappointment and anger that the Another Simple Favor star and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, also had their wedding at Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens in South Carolina back in 2012, as the venue has a dark history of slavery. This issue has been brought up several times on social media platforms, including X, and internet users have been mentioning it again since she was named an "influential" person.
