President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are among the most interesting presidential couples America has seen, as they aren’t often portrayed as a strong unit as other couples in the White House have been.
Recently, a Trump biographer and journalist shared some insider info about the headline-making and influential couple, claiming that they essentially live separate lives and that the First Lady prefers to keep a “careful distance” from her husband. This was pretty shocking information, considering they need to keep up public appearances due to their powerful roles in America. Read more about the biographer’s claims below.
Michael Wolff Claims That Donald And Melania Trump Live 'Separate' Lives
Michael Wolff is an American journalist and biographer who has been closely following the life of President Donald J. Trump, who was re-elected for a second term last year. Recently, he appeared on The Daily Beast podcast, where he spoke about Melania Trump, the current First Lady, who has been married to the famous businessman for 20 years.
While they insist everything is going great with their marriage, people couldn't help but notice that Melania has felt seemingly much more absent during her husband's second term as president, given she seemingly wasn't as involved as former first ladies in the first place.
Rumors have begun circulating that the political couple doesn't get along as well anymore, with many internet users believing that the Slovenian model 'hates' her husband and does not want to hold the powerful position in America anymore, especially since she wasn't seen on his campaign trail that often.
Throughout his appearance on the podcast, the journalist made some claims that could be the proof those speculators needed. During his interview, he alleged that the couple was basically "separated."
"They clearly do not in any way inhabit a marriage as we define marriage," he told the podcast's host.
"I think maybe we can more specifically say they live separate lives," he added. "They are separated. The President of the United States and the First Lady are separated."

Melania Reportedly Keeps A 'Careful Distance' From Her Husband
While it sounds unusual for a couple in charge of ensuring one of the most powerful nations in the world stays functioning to live separate lives, Wolff has stated that despite it all, it's more possible than one may think in the Trump administration.
Earlier this year, Wolff's new book on the Trump administration and family, All or Nothing, was released. In it, he dove deeper into getting inside information on the 78-year-old's and Melania's marriage. He claimed that the 55-year-old prefers to keep a "careful distance" from her husband these days.
He also pointed out her "clear" lack of support during his most recent campaign efforts, hardly making appearances at rallies or events.
"Magically, the Melania issue had not, in the White House years nor the Mar-a-Lago years—with both staffers and press quite aware of the Trumps' nontraditional living arrangements and their careful distance from each other— become an issue," he wrote.
Some media outlets have seemingly confirmed that the First Lady isn't all too happy being in the White House or working alongside her husband, as earlier in May, the New York Times reported that she had spent less than two weeks there. In other instances, she's been clear about traveling back and forth from New York City, where she and Donald's son, Barron, attend college.
The President and First Lady may continue to try to convince the public that their relationship is in a great place, but with these new reports, it could be harder to do.
