Earlier this week, the 7th annual Daytime Beauty Awards were held in Los Angeles, California. The event celebrates excellence in hairstyling, makeup, photography, and more within the television and film industry. It's a ceremony that happens just in time, right after the Emmys, and honors various hair and makeup artists who work hard to ensure today's stars look great.
One of this year's presenters was Melissa, who got all dolled up for the occasion. According to the Beauty Awards' Instagram, she presented the "Outstanding Achievement in Color & Styling to her longtime friend, colorist & hairstylist Robert Ramos." Ramos has been consistently working with the Little Mermaid star, as well as other notable celebrities like Kelly Clarkson.
For the awards ceremony, Melissa's styling team dressed her in a dark, bedazzled power suit with a matching jacket and pants, both of which had silver embellishments. Her long, brunette locks were worn down and curled, and, fitting for the event, she had her face in full glam makeup. Melissa has been progressively getting fit and losing weight over the last decade, openly admitting to living a more balanced lifestyle with healthy eating and exercise instead of doing any fad diets. In interviews, she confessed that one of the biggest keys to her success was that she stopped "worrying" so much about how she looked and how quickly she needed to drop pounds.
"I finally said [to myself], 'Oh, for God's sake, stop worrying about it,' and it may be the best thing I've ever done," she told CBS.
