The Becoming author has been in the spotlight lately, not necessarily for work in politics, but for her fashion choices. As she's been promoting her latest fashion-forward book, The Look, which explores her style evolution from the White House and beyond, she's been stepping out for interviews and photoshoots in more creative and spunky ensembles.
In one of her most recent photo shoots, she posed for the famous designer, Thom Browne, wearing a skirt suit he designed for his Fall 2025 collection. The extravagant suit combined office core and theatrical elements, as it was a gray blazer and skirt covered in teal-colored gems along the sides. It was paired with a white button-down and a striped tie.

Although she's seemingly taken more of a backseat during her husband's second term as president so far, Melania Trump has had a few buzzworthy style moments and has also stepped out in numerous skirt suits. Therefore, when some internet users saw new photos of the IMO podcast host wearing one, they couldn't stop themselves from comparing the two.
"Copying Melania?" asked an Instagram user. "Skirt suits are her thing."
One user called Michelle a "Melania want-to-be," as another wrote others should "compare her to Melania Trump."
Although some of these users did make their opinions known, others, including fans of the Look author, clapped back and cheered her on.
"She looks amazing," wrote a fan. "So graceful."
