Miley Cyrus and her partner, Maxx Morando, are officially engaged! And as with any major celebrity engagement, fans immediately zeroed in on the ring. The singer debuted the sparkler at the Los Angeles premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash, where she walked the red carpet alongside Morando, the 27-year-old music producer and drummer for the band Liily.
According to Today.com, the ring was designed by Jacquie Aiche and features a cushion-cut diamond estimated to be between four and five carats. Jewelry experts who spoke to the outlet said the piece could be valued anywhere from $100K to $500K, depending on its specific quality and characteristics.
Miley Cyrus Engaged to Maxx Morando After 4 Years
The 33-year-old opened up to PEOPLE about this major step in their relationship while promoting the upcoming film Avatar: Fire and Ash, which features her song “Dream as One” on its soundtrack.
“The detail that I can share is that, for us, our privacy and keeping things small has been really important,” she explained. “I’ve been amazed that I’ve actually been able to maintain that and have more choice in what I share.”
She added that with age has come a deeper desire to protect certain parts of her life: “I think it’s also about being older and being more protective of what I’m open to sharing.”
Miley and Maxx began dating in 2021 after being introduced on a blind date. That same year, they subtly “soft-launched” their relationship by attending the Gucci “Love Parade” fashion show together, where they were spotted holding hands.

Miley Cyrus Reveals Proposal Location
By early 2022, sources confirmed the pair were officially together and enjoying their new romance. Two years later, in February 2024, the couple took a big step forward and moved in together.
She also opened up to GMA, sharing sweet details about the moment Maxx Morando proposed. According to Cyrus, he managed to pull off something nearly impossible: genuinely surprising her. Morando got down on one knee during their recent trip to Japan—a destination Cyrus had intentionally saved for a meaningful moment.
“I am not easy to surprise, because I love to control every situation. And I had completely surrendered,” she told ABC News’ Chris Connelly. "And I'm telling you, I was so, so, so surprised!"
She added that she had never visited Japan before. “I did that purposefully. I wanted one place in the world that could be my special place that I saved for me.”
