North West continues to experiment with bold new looks—but this time, thankfully, the latest addition wasn’t permanent. The 12-year-old took to the @kimandnorth TikTok account on Saturday to show off what appeared to be a silver bridge piercing across the nose. Shortly after the video surfaced, multiple outlets confirmed that the piercing was actually a sticker, not a real piercing.

North also leaned into her signature edgy style with black grills and turquoise hair, which has become a recurring part of her aesthetic. For the full rocker-inspired look, she wore a baggy white T-shirt, a gray pleated mini skirt, fuzzy black boots, and layered studded jewelry and carried a handbag to complete the outfit.

She was joined by a friend who rocked a similar faux piercing and pink hair, mirroring North’s bold vibe. The pair danced and lip-synced to several songs together, clearly having fun with their coordinated looks. “We da real rockstars,” North captioned one of the videos, fully embracing her fearless fashion moment.

Even though the facial piercings were fake, fans still took to social media to express their outrage over the young internet personality’s fashion choices lately.

“Absolutely ridiculous,” said one user. A second wrote, “Just because you can… doesn’t mean you should.” A third commented, “She’s too young for all that.” A fourth noted, “What a mess.” A fifth quipped, “Kim is allowing this to happen!” A sixth said, “It takes a village to raise a child, but it starts with a set of logical, morally sound, and present parents.” Another person said, “The level of ICK I get from all of this.” Someone else commented, “Why is this kid avoiding looking like her authentic self? It's sad. Why are her parents allowing this? Is it out of style to look dignified?”

North has sparked controversy in the past for experimenting with real piercings. In August 2025, the tween debuted a dermal finger piercing on her right middle finger, which quickly caught public attention. The piercing was first noticed while she was vacationing in Rome, Italy, with her mother, Kim Kardashian. Positioned just below the knuckle, the surface piercing stood out as an uncommon and eyebrow-raising accessory—especially given her age.

North West Faces Backlash Over Finger Piercing

Not long after photos circulated, North appeared to remove the finger jewelry. In subsequent social media posts, her hands were seen without the piercing, following widespread public backlash and growing health concerns raised by medical professionals and parents alike.

Dr. Donald Grant, a general practitioner and senior clinical advisor at The Independent Pharmacy, also weighed in on the situation, describing dermal finger piercings as a particularly “risky” choice—especially for children.

“Dermal piercings, particularly those placed on the finger, carry risks that can easily be underestimated or attributed to more familiar concerns,” he explained to UNILAD. People often miss the “early signs of irritation or rejection,” chalking them up to dry skin or delayed healing, when the issue may actually be far more serious.

“These symptoms may also be mistaken for an allergic reaction to jewelry, simple overuse of the hands, or mild contact dermatitis,” he warned. “The area is frequently exposed to bacteria through everyday activities, and even small breaks in the surrounding skin can allow an infection to take hold. Signs may include increasing redness, warmth, swelling, or an unusual discharge, and these can worsen if left unaddressed.”
