Post Malone Performs A Tribute To Ozzy Osbourne At The 2026 Grammy Awards
Last night was one of the biggest nights in the music and entertainment industry, the Grammy Awards, which took place in Los Angeles, California. Most of today's top artists were there, from Harry Styles to Sabrina Carpenter and Bad Bunny, who made history by becoming the first Latin artist to take home Album Of The Year.
One highly anticipated part of the night was the In Memoriam, as music fans and entertainers themselves knew that much of it would be dedicated to legend Ozzy Osbourne, who died this past July at the age of 76 after his battle with Parkinson's disease. During the special in memoriam, Post Malone sang Ozzy's famous Black Sabbath song, "War Pigs."
Behind Post was the famous drummer, Chad Smith, as well as Slash, Duff McKagan, and Andrew Watt, who performed the live rendition of the song. As the country artist sang, the camera continuously panned to the rest of the family, consisting of Sharon, Kelly, and Jack, who were visibly emotional as they watched the musicians honor the late frontman of their family. You can see snippets of the performance here!
Fans React To Post Malone's Ozzy Tribute On Social Media
The tribute was highly anticipated following the rockstar's death, which is why once it was aired and clips of it were shared on social media, fans of his and other internet users began to express how wonderful they thought it was. In addition to praising the "Circles" singer for his interpretation of the heavy song, others commented on the overall emotional tone in the room.
"This performance was great!" commented a fan on Instagram.
"Posty did fantastic!" added another, as one user wrote it was the "best part of the show."
"The tears were flowing," wrote a user, referencing the grieving Osbourne family. "So sad."
"So beautiful," commented a fan. "Ozzy was a lucky man with so much love from his family."
We'll be curious to see if the rap-turned-country star decides to do Ozzy tributes anymore as he embarks on his next tour with Jelly Roll this summer, but for now, fans of both musicians were super pleased with the emotional moment.
