Priyanka Chopra just dropped the name ‘Jonas’ from her Instagram profile, leaving fans up in arms wondering whether she and husband Nick Jonas – who she has been married to since 2018 – have called it quits. We definitely couldn’t handle a Chopra/Jonas break-up over the holidays, so we’re hoping that it isn’t true! For the record, her handle is still @priyankachopra, but she also dropped the name ‘Chopra’ from her Insta description which previously read, ‘Priyanka Chopra Jonas’, leaving her name at just ‘Priyanka.’ Maybe she’s going for an Adele/Madonna sort of vibe…
The internet has been in a frenzy ever since it happened, and we’re determined to find out the truth. Although dropping her husband’s name from her profile didn’t seem like a good sign, every other sign is still pointing at them being a happily married couple and there are no other hints of there being trouble in paradise. Priyanka even posted a very “thirsty” comment to a workout post Nick shared shortly after changing her profile information, so that was kind of reassuring. She wrote: “Damn! I just died in your arms…” followed by heart eyes, sweaty, and red heart emojis, respectively.

Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra was even forced to address the divorce speculation which had seemingly got out of control, and told News18: “It’s all rubbish, don’t spread rumors.” Well that sure told us! To further prove that their relationship isn’t in trouble, Priyanka also shared a loved-up picture of herself wrapping her arms around her husband while celebrating Thanksgiving together on Thursday, November 25th, with the most adorable caption. “So much to be grateful for. Friends, family.. I love you @nickjonas.” she wrote, followed by a red heart emoji and a star emoji. “happy thanksgiving to everyone celebrating,” she added.
Jonas also shared the same picture to his own Instagram, keeping it short and sweet, writing: “Happy thanksgiving everyone! Grateful for you @priyankachopra” followed by a red heart emoji. Phew – we can all breathe a sigh of relief, safe in the knowledge that Nick and Priyanka’s relationship is as strong as ever!

Fans may have been quick to believe that their relationship was in trouble due to the distance that is so often between them because of their busy work schedules. However, Priyanka spoke very openly about how she and Nick overcome the distance in a very candid interview with Elle UK in February earlier this year, and it looks like they both put a lot of work into making sure they aren’t away from each other for too long.
"We see each other every three weeks," she told the mag. "Wherever we are in the world, we fly to each other at least once a month for a couple of days. It was our rule when we first got married. Otherwise we’d never see each other." Priyanka and Nick tied the knot on December 1st back in 2018, so we'll be keeping our eyes peeled to see how the happily married couple celebrate their third wedding anniversary in a few days.
