Rachel Zoe took to Instagram over the holidays to share some scary news about her older son, Skyler, who fell from a ski lift.
The 52-year-old fashion designer explained that her son had experienced a 40 foot fall from the ski lift while they were vacationing in Colorado, despite her husband, Rodger Berman, asking the operator to stop the lift. Luckily, Sky is doing much better now.
Zoe wrote, "Sky fell 40 feet from a chair life yesterday which could have been easily prevented if the operator had stopped the lift when he saw Sky wasn’t on from the start and @rbermanus screaming to stop the lift."
She continued, "Needless to say by a miracle and the Ski patrol heroes who quickly put a mat under where they thought he would fall ultimately saved his life or from what could have happened."
Despite the scary fall, her son is doing well.
Two days later, Zoe gave an update on her profile: "And just like that after experiencing an actual miracle..#Sky is almost 100 percent back to himself after falling 40 feet from a ski-lift less than 48 hours ago."
"I cannot yet retell the story as it really happened but @rbermanus and I will heal our pain with time knowing that Sky is ok and stronger than ever," she added. "I don’t typically share traumatic moments with my IG community, but the love we feel from so many of you is overwhelming and truly helping us heal. Both Skyler and I have endless gratitude for your prayers and kindness and we will never forget it. Sky is the bravest little soul that was indeed saved by an angel."
In the video posted to Zoe's account, Sky gives an update to all the well-wishers asking after his health.
The 9-year-old said, "I am doing pretty well. I can walk, I can run, and I could go upside down."
"My neck is a little sore, but I'm doing pretty well," he added. "I'm doing pretty good. Thank you guys for looking our for me."
