Why oh why must celebs insist on Photoshopping themselves when they know how easy it is for us to catch them out? Rita Ora is the latest celebrity to take photo editing a little too far, as she has been called out for retouching her pictures to extremely unrealistic (and therefore very easily detectable) levels.
The @truthaboutfaves Instagram account takes all the guesswork out of knowing which of the 30-year-old singer’s pictures are edited, as it has provided side by side before and after pictures that have to be seen to be believed. Praise the Insta-gods! The sad thing is that the “How To Be Lonely” singer looks gorgeous in all of the before pictures, so why she felt the need to edit them further is beyond us.

In one of the pictures, the “Let You Love Me” singer is performing on stage (the picture was likely taken by a fan or an official photographer – but either way, she didn’t edit it) while the one on the right is an obviously retouched one, as it shows her with an extremely more voluminous posterior, shall we say. We’ve come to realize that Rita must be very insecure about that part of her body, as it’s one of the areas she always seems to Photoshop.
Her waist might be another thing that the Voice Australia coach is insecure about (let’s blame the Kardashians and those extremely dangerous waist cinchers for that one) as there are many before and after pictures of the singer with a heavily altered waist. Some, more obvious than others. The waist to hip proportion isn’t as unrealistic as some other celeb Photoshop fails, we must admit, but the photo editing is extremely apparent when side by side pictures of Rita in the very same outfit are examined.

Many of the Insta account’s followers have commented on the before and after pictures, which seem to have the social network divided. Some fans think that Rita simply “knows her angles” which we can definitely believe, because we all know that we have to take over 100 pictures (at least!) to get just one good one for social media. (Our parents never had these problems – sometimes we long for those simpler times!) However, others think that the pictures have indeed been edited, but the changes are so subtle and therefore so unnecessary due to how good she looked to start with.
“Most of these just different angles and poses, nothing crazy whatsoever. The last slide the edit was tiny too not a big deal,” one fan wrote. “These dont look very heavily edited to me. I think shes just posing differently,” another concurred. “tf is she photoshopping for? her body looks SO good,” another fan questioned. “i feel like photoshop is fine to a certain level unless ur changing ur whole body cause it can trigger huge body dysmorphia, some of these slides are fine but others can really show how she feels about her body and i wish she could see how beautiful her body is before she gets the idea that it isn’t,” a concerned IG user commented.
When presented with side by side pictures, we can definitely see a difference, and wouldn’t be surprised if the “Hot Right Now” singer wanted to tweak them slightly to make herself feel more confident. However, we have to say that we certainly wouldn’t be editing our pictures if they looked like Rita’s before ones; just sayin’! What do you think? Edited or not edited?
