Today fans were left emotional after seeing new videos of co-anchor Savannah Guthrie and her siblings pleading for the safe return of their mother, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing since January 31st.
Nancy was reported missing from her home in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson, Arizona. According to reports, authorities quickly began treating the disappearance as a suspected abduction and have declared the residence a crime scene, citing signs of possible foul play.
Savannah Guthrie Shares Emotional Plea To Her Mom's Kidnappers
Savannah first took to Instagram on February 3rd to ask her fans to "please pray" for the safe return of her mother. She has since posted several more times, each post more emotional than the last.
In one Instagram video posted on February 5th, Savannah, joined by her siblings Annie and Camron, appealed directly to whoever might be holding their mother. They asked for "proof of life" before any negotiation, and urged the captors to make contact with the family.
Savannah said families in such situations live in a world "where voices and images are easily manipulated," and stressed the need to know without a doubt that their mother was alive and in the abductors' possession.

She also spoke about her mom's health, saying her heart condition and need for daily medication make the situation especially urgent. "Her health, her heart is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is without any medicine. She needs it to survive. She needs it not to suffer," Savannah declared.
President Donald Trump commented on the case via his Truth Social platform, saying he was directing federal law enforcement to assist with the investigation and help "get her mother home safely." Local authorities have reportedly described an all-hands-on-deck search involving dogs, drones, helicopters, and federal agents.

Just one day later, on February 6th, Camron Guthrie filmed a separate message that reinforced the family's plea and underscored the lack of direct communication from anyone claiming responsibility.
"Whoever is out there holding our mother, we want to hear from you," he began in the video shared on Savannah's account. "We haven't heard anything directly. We need you to reach out, and we need a way to communicate with you so we can move forward."
"But first, we have to know that you have our mom. We want to talk to you, and we are waiting for contact," he concluded.
