Savannah Guthrie's Mother Goes Missing
Savannah's sister Annie was the last person to see Nancy, when she dropped her off at her home after eating dinner together. Friends of Nancy contacted her family members after she failed to show up at church the next morning. The FBI is now involved, after the missing persons case escalated to be an assumed abduction.
A spokes person for the Pima County Sheriff's Department told Page Six that investigators have reason to believe Nancy was "taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night." Monday evening, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos appeared on CNN, explaining that after nearly five decades on the job, he has a "gut feeling" that Nancy was abducted, saying that "something they told me about that scene made me believe there is more than just a missing person."
"This is an elderly woman in her mod-80s who suffers from ailments, she couldn't go 50 yards," he continued. He also added that Nancy takes a daily medication "that, if she doesn't have in 24 hours, it could be fatal."

"Nancy Guthrie is of great sound mind," Nanos concluded. "This is not a dementia-related case. She is as sharp as a tack."
Taking to Instagram to raise awareness, Savannah posted a photo with the quote, "Please Pray," with a lengthy caption calling on her fans and followers to pray for her mother.
"We believe in prayer. we believe in voices raised in unison, in love, in hope. we believe in goodness. we believe in humanity. above all, we believe in Him," she wrote. "thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant. raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment."
"We need you," she continued. "'He will keep in perfect peace those whose hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.' a verse of Isaiah for all time for all of us. Bring her home."
