We all love a good proposal story, right? We all love to find out how they finally decided to pop the question and celebrity couples engagement stories are no exception. Celebrity couple Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost have a particularly romantic story behind how they got engaged.
The 37-year-old Saturday Night Live star proposed to his 34-year-old actress girlfriend after two years of dating in May 2019. Johansson exclusively shared her sweet thoughts on the proposal on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Oct. 17.
According to Us Weekly Johansson told DeGeneres, “He did like a whole James Bond situation. He’s got a lot behind that news desk. He’s very charming and very thoughtful and romantic. I was surprised,” “Even if you kind of image what that moment is going to be like it’s still a beautiful moment.”

Johansson confirmed that Jost’s proposal was indeed “a very special moment.” She added, “I think more than anything when someone tells you they want to share the rest of their life with you and that is just is a lovely, special thing.” How sweet is that?! It certainly sounds like true love to us!
In addition to a wedding coming up, the famous duo certainly keeps themselves super busy. Jost is part of the 2019-2020 season cast for Saturday Night Live hosting the “Weekend Update” feature while Johansson continues to star in an assortment of Marvel Universe movies.
