Sharon Stone has been inspiring fans for over two decades, ever since surviving a near-fatal stroke and brain hemorrhage in 2001 that she once revealed left her with a “1% chance of survival.” At the time, her then-husband Phil Bronstein filed for divorce while she was still recovering, making it one of the most challenging periods of her life.
In January this year, the 67-year-old Basic Instinct alum hosted the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection Concert, where she motivated fans by sharing her story once again, reminding them that if she could survive her darkest days, they could too.
Fast forward to August 2025, and Stone has given her fans even more reason to celebrate, as she confirmed that she is making a highly-anticipated return to acting!
On August 18th, Stone sat down with Craig Melvin on the Today Show and revealed that she’s ready to return to Hollywood now that her children have grown up and are leaving the nest.
Looking ageless and radiant in a black and white top teamed with a bold red jacket, the Intersection star confirmed she has been working on Nobody 2, which she recently attended the premiere of (pictured above.) She then confirmed that she will also appear in the newest season of Euphoria alongside Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and more, which we are very excited about!
In the Today interview, the Catwoman actress explained how her stroke forced her to reconsider her priorities, which is something she doesn’t seem to have regrets over. “Well, in the ’90s I think it would be fair to say I pretty much owned the ’90s as an actress,” she began. Where’s the lie?!
“I stopped when I had a stroke. I had a massive, massive stroke and nearly died, so I couldn’t work,” the ageless Casino star continued.
