There are few people more polarizing than Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan, and the duo has strengthened their already strong friendship over the past year, bonding over the waves they’ve both made. The internet’s strangest and most controversial pairing just got together for an intimate dinner, and fans are simply not sure what to think after Osbourne posted a picture of herself grinning next to Morgan during a night out at Claridge’s.
In a self-aware commentary on their respective reputations, Osbourne captioned the image, “The naughty corner…lovely time out with my dear friend @piersmorgan.” Morgan also shared the image to his personal account, writing, “In the naughty corner… so great to catch up with my fabulous friend @sharonosbourne who was on irrepressible form.”

Both the 68-year-old former host of The Talk and the 56-year-old former commentator on Good Morning Britain recently departed their shows following controversy earlier this year, and evidently have plenty to bond over. Morgan, for his part, left Good Morning Britain in March after his comments following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah were criticized as being insensitive and offensive. He had said that he “didn’t believe a word” Markle had said to Winfrey during the interview, including her claims of considering taking her own life. Meanwhile, Osbourne left The Talk in March as well after a heated dispute with co-host Sheryl Underwood, who called out Osbourne for backing up Morgan and his “racist” remarks.
However, fans of both Osbourne and Morgan were vocal in the comments of the controversial television host’s Instagram post, with one person writing, “Waiting for the Sharon and Piers show.” Another fan promptly agreed, commenting, “Great having Brits joining us in the revolution for free speech again!”
The pair have been loyal friends to each other through it all, however, with Morgan commenting on the controversy surrounding Osbourne, saying, “Bullied out of her job for defending me against an invented slur of racism because I don’t believe a liar.” The comments came after Osbourne caught flack for supporting Morgan when he left Good Morning Britain.
