“We are moving away from exaggerated styles like chunky sneaker soles or wedge sneakers. People ultimately want a functional shoe, so classic tennis shoe silhouettes are key. Design details such as monochromatic soles and laces keep the sneaker feeling clean and updated, while implementing unexpected laces such as ribbon or paracord are a chance for a touch of personality,” she tells Who What Wear.

It’s been real, wedge sneakers! Now that we know which shoes are “in,” it’s time to do some serious shopping! Here are some of the classic, white sneakers that you’ll be seeing everywhere this year:

Adidas Originals Stan Smith Shoes ($75)

Stan Smiths will never go out of style with their sleek look and retro tennis shoe look.

Vans Old School ($60)

This classic low-top lace up canvas sneaker offers comfort and versatility with its retro-inspired look.

Reebok Classic Leather Sneaker ($84.95)

These Reebok Classics offer the same vintage aesthetic as "dad shoes" with their cushioned collar and footbed. They're so cool, right?

Steve Madden Lancer Sneaker ($69.95)

The Lancer sneakers put a modern twist on traditional sneakers with their wide-set laces, monochromatic palette and mid-top length.

Vagabond Zoe Sneaker ($130)

These sleek leather sneakers from Vagabond feature a rounded toe and minimalist aesthetic that never fails. Trust us, shoes like these will pair well with everything in your closet.

Nike Classic Leather Cortez Sneaker ($70)

It's not hard to see why Nike Cortez sneakers are the trendiest shoes this year. Their vintage and timeless design add an instant and undeniable "cool" factor.
