“I am very in love with sweater vests for spring 2021,” fashion editor Michelle Li declared on Who What Wear recently.
“Sweater vests in all their forms are having a resurgence,” wrote Rachel Besser in Vogue. Well, okay then!

First seen on the runways of Coach, Louis Vuitton and Sea, and later seen in the collections of Acne, Ganni and Purdey, this verified trend is cozy and perfect for chic layering.
Most of the editors suggest wearing it atop your favorite oversized tee. But that’s not your only option–you could put it over a button down shirt or even another sweater with sleeves.
“I was drawn to this trend because it feels like a forgotten transitional piece and brands are coming out with more whimsical versions that don’t feel so preppy,” Li explained. Try it for yourself:
