Before warming fans' hearts with their loved-up selfies, PDA and wholesome shout-outs to each other in interviews, Swift and Kelce's very first public appearance was at the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's September 24th game at Arrowhead Stadium last year.
During her Time Magazine Person of the Year interview however, the "Anti-Hero" hitmaker divulged that she and the football player had been romantically involved for a considerable amount of time prior to that game.
After Kelce revealed on his "New Heights" podcast in July that he had attempted to give Swift his phone number at an Eras tour concert (but was unsuccessful), the duo began seeing each other. "We started hanging out right after that," the "Cruel Summer" songwriter told Time.
"So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other." She went on: "I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game. We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."
Swift also opened up about how she and Kelce plan to publicly support each other and their careers (as he has been spotted in the crowd for her Eras Tour shows as well).
"When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care," she said.
The "Lavender Haze" crooner continued: "The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other."
In a December 2023 exclusive report by Page Six, it was revealed that Kelce had sought the blessing of the "Lover" artist's father, Scott Swift, to ask for her hand in marriage.
"Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring," an insider supposedly close to Kelce claimed.
Over the holiday season, Kelce and Swift united with her relatives and his father for festivities. In addition, they were caught exhibiting affection on New Year's Eve.
