Sometimes choosing between appetizers can be a life-changing decision (just kidding, not really) especially if you are deciding whether or not to get the soup of the day.

Usually the waiter will come around and give you options or their specials for the day, but just don’t do it! The soup of the day isn’t worth it and I’ll tell you why.
Honestly, the number one reason to stay away from the soup of the day is because most likely it’s stale. They are just trying to get rid anything that has been left over from the past week.
Additionally, the soup may actually be fattening or unhealthy. Creamy soups, especially, pack on the calories and work against you if you are trying to slim down.
