You might think that connecting to a device via Bluetooth is pretty secure, but as with anything technology-related, you can never be too safe.

“Bluetooth, when compared to WiFi, is pretty darn safe, but it’s not immune to hackers so you need to take steps to keep safe,” Burton Kelso, the Technology Expert, tells us.

“One of the worst things you can do when connecting to Bluetooth is trying to connect to Bluetooth devices in publics spaces,” he warns.

“When you're in the process of connecting to Bluetooth devices, it can make your computer or smartphone more vulnable to attacks.” Yikes!

“If you need to pair a Bluetooth device, do so in the privacy of your home of office rather than out in public places where you device can be hacked.” Good to know!
