Valerie Bertinelli recently shared a now-deleted TikTok clip that addressed a user who had accused her of receiving facial injections. The One Day at a Time alum, 63, confessed that she had once experimented with Botox but it hadn’t gone as planned.

Despite deleting the clip from her TikTok account, the Kids Baking Championship co-host shared it to her Instagram in response to a fan who wrote: “Botox looks great” on another of her TikTok posts. She captioned the video: “No shame! No judgments. But let’s talk about it shall we?”

Valerie Bertinelli Calls Out User Who ‘Shamed’ Her Experimentation With Botox In New Post

The mom of one said to the user in the video: “I have tried Botox … I hated it.” She then showed a photo of herself that was taken “six years ago” when she received Botox injections, noting that she underwent it to make her “genetically puffy eyes” less noticeable. She went on: “They’ve always annoyed me. I’ve always wanted those deep-set eyes. Don’t have ’em. Never going to get ’em. So, just live with it.”

The Food Network star confessed that Botox “changed the shape of my eyebrows,” which rather than inspiring her self-confidence, resulted in her further ruminating on her insecurities concerning her physicality.

Bertinelli proceeded to analyze the implication behind the user's comment. "Like, what made you go out of your way to try to shame me?" the Hot in Cleveland actress said.

Bertinelli, known for being honest about body image battles, added that she wasn’t "the first person to try to be shamed on TikTok or Instagram or any place."

The Touched by an Angel alum continued: "So, we’re women. We have to stick together, OK? Don’t shame somebody if they want to do something, anything, to make themselves feel better as they go out into this insane, flippin’ crazy world, OK?"

Bertinelli's honesty, "realness," and positive energy received much admiration from her followers, who left their praises in her comment section. "Too many women declare war on other women," one fan wrote, adding: "It’s like middle and high school never ended."

Fellow actress Tiffani Amber Thiessen commented: "this is why so many, like myself, love you." Someone else concurred, writing under Bertinelli's video: "You handled this with such grace and kindness." One other replied: "I agree with you, women need to lift each other up, not shame."
