Do you ever get to a big grocery store, suddenly feel overwhelmed, and wish you could have someone tell you exactly what to buy?

This happens to many of us, especially those who sometimes struggle to keep their fridges and pantries stocked with healthy foods that can aid in weight loss. Thankfully, we have social media, and there are so many experts and weight loss coaches that have been sharing some of their grocery store and shopping essentials for healthy ingredients and products.

One of those weight loss coaches is Amber C, a TikTok content creator who has lost 160 pounds “through diet and exercise” since 2018 and shares numerous tips and tricks with her audience. She created a video that’s targeted towards Sam’s Club members who are looking for products that will help them maintain a “healthy and balanced” diet.

Here are eight of the products Amber put in her cart while shopping at the popular wholesale grocery store.

1. Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt

Greek yogurt is a highly popular food item these days, as it is rich in protein, probiotics, and other beneficial nutrients. Not only can it make a filling food to eat during the day that will overtime help you lose weight, but it also has properties that can improve your gut health and even reduce your risk of certain cancers.

Pairing a serving of nonfat plain Greek yogurt with low-calorie, high-fiber fruits like berries for breakfast is a great way to kick off your morning, especially if you love eating and crave sweeter foods throughout the day.

In her video, Amber can be seen putting two containers of the Sam's Club brand, "Member's Mark," version of the yogurt into her shopping cart.

2. Lowfat Cottage Cheese

Cottage cheese has made quite the comeback over the last few years. For a while, it was dismissed as a sort of archaic dieting food, but eventually, people remembered how delicious and filling it can be when mixed with other ingredients. Like Greek yogurt, a serving of cottage cheese contains a high amount of protein and is super versatile, as it can be used in both sweet and savory dishes.

While the texture may take some getting used to, you can get really creative with how you eat cottage cheese and incorporate it into your daily diet.

3. Breaded Salmon Bites

Sometimes, no matter how hard we try to stick to a healthy diet, we just want to eat something breaded and fried that reminds us of fast food chicken nuggets. Amber managed to find a great alternative at Sam's Club, which are Member's Mark breaded salmon bites made with panko bread crumbs.

The convenient bites are great, as you can easily stick them in the oven. Additionally, while they're still a cripsy, savory treat, the salmon in them contains a lot of healthy nutrients and omega-3 fatty acids. So, you can reap a few more benefits than you would if you went out and ordered fast food, making it easier to support your weight loss.

4. Frozen Mixed Berries

Summertime is upon us and that means that many of us will want to enjoy more cool and refreshing beverages throughout the day. One of the best ways to do that is to make a nutritious and antioxidant-packed smoothie, which can be made super easily with frozen berries.

Large bags of frozen berries are great to keep in your freezer, as you can add them to all sorts of dishes for a last-minute fiber boost that can help you shed some pounds.

5. Sliced Turkey Breast

When you need a quick snack on the go but don't want to reach for junk food or super processed foods like chips, you can easily get an extra filling source of protein via sliced turkey breast.

Sam's Club offers a wide variety of sliced deli meats, and Amber decided to go with the Member's Mark Four Peppered turkey breast for some extra flavor.

Sliced turkey is a lean meat that doesn't just have to be used in sandwiches, but also makes for a great snack, like an "adult lunchable," and other enjoyable foods to eat during your weight loss journey.

6. Ground Beef

Ground beef is a notorious food for being high in protein and super easy to cook up for a healthy dinner. At Sam's Club, Amber found "all-natural" packages of ground beef that were 93% lean and 7% fat, making it even better for shedding pounds and losing stubborn fat.

While some experts advise against consuming red meat too often during the week, when you do, you can use it in delicious and filling recipes, such as meat sauce, at-home burrito bowls, breakfast skillets, and more.

7. Mini Bell Peppers

Sometimes, when you're on a weight loss journey, you miss certain snacks that crunch. This could include potato chips, crackers, and other kinds of crispy indulgences. However, there are so many natural ingredients like vegetables that can satisfy your need for a crunchy snack. One of those is bell peppers, and an even better option for snacking is mini bell peppers, which Amber proved can be found at Sam's Club.

Mini bell peppers are exactly what they soundlike, just smaller renditions of bell peppers you see in the grocery store that fit in the size of your hand. They're prefect for eating alongside healthy spreads like hummus and Greek yogurt dip and are filled with healthy vitamins and nutrients.

8. Spinach and Herb Tortilla Wraps

If you're a big fan of Mexican foods, such as tacos and burritos, or you love eating a wrap for lunch, then buying tortillas with an extra bit of health benefits would be great for you. Amber discovered "Xtreme Wellness" spinach and herb tortilla wraps at Sam's Club, which are advertised as "low-carb," making them a great pantry addition for those on a weight loss journey. Many health experts have noted that incorporating vegetables into your diet wherever possible can aid in losing some extra pounds, even if they're in a wrap.

Thanks to Amber's video, we know that numerous options are available when it comes to purchasing weight-loss-friendly ingredients and items at large, wholesale grocery stores. Which one of her picks do you want to try?
