Nutrition specialist and viral content creator, MaKayla Thomas, who lost 55 pounds, recently shared one of her latest weight loss recipes for “low-calorie” and high-protein ‘queso crunchers’ that are packed with flavor and indulgent-type ingredients. MaKayla Thomas Creates The Filling For Her Queso Crunchers
This dish is one that the content creator describes as “Rotel dip in cruncher form,” as she uses the slightly spicy, flavorful element of Rotel tomatoes and chilis, which can be found in a can in most grocery stores.
In her video, MaKayla begins by making her filling for the crunchers, by taking a pound of 93% lean ground beef and browning it in a pan. Then, she adds a taco seasoning packet, as well as a few tablespoons of Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, a sprinkle of shredded cheese, about 1-2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, and a tablespoon of canned refried beans, which she says “adds fiber and creaminess.”
She then mixes everything together and cooks it in the pan until the cheese is melted and she has a cohesive filling.
