Having acne-prone skin can be very difficult to deal with. Your skin becomes sensitive to all those harsh ingredients can come in various products, so you need to be careful about which products you put on your face. The following beauty products should never be used on acne-prone skin, so make sure you avoid these at all costs!

foundation

Foundation is very heavy and doesn't allow your skin to breathe, which causes your pores to clog and acne to flare up. It's tempting to use to hide your current acne, but the more you use it, the more your skin will suffer!

moisturizer

Moisturizers can actually cause breakouts when applied too much, especially if you have one with an oily consistency. If you already have oily skin, moisturizer is onoly going to make it even more oily, which will lead to clogged pores and acne breakouts. However, you shouldn't ditch moisturizer completely. Use it only after washing your face, and make sure its a high-quality product meant for people with oily skin.

perfume

Yes, perfume can actually cause acne! The chemicals in perfume can actually be very harsh on your skin, and sometimes causes allergic reactions that can lead to acne and hives. Use as minimal of an amount as possible (one spray usually does the trick).

lotion

If you get acne on your body (such as the back and chest), you'll want to stay away from scented lotions. The perfumes in these lotions can irritate your skin and clog your pores, so make sure you're using a hypoallergenic, unscented lotion to hydrate your skin while keeping it clear and clean.
