First it was across the pond for Brit pop punk wear with a twist from Luella Bartley.
It was a bloody success. Now Target lives up to its faux-fancy nickname ‘Tarjay’ with a new line from Tara Jarmon.
The Paris based designer is très feminine, très chic, but fortunately you do not have to be très rich to shop the collection. Look for flirty skirts high above the knee and a strapless dress
that can be a solid back-up LBD.
The camis and tanks are timed perfectly for summer. With delicate pintucking, tiny buttons, and silk ruffles, the tops transition seamlessly from day to night. All for around $19.99. Make sure to hit up the saccharine sweet swimwear
before hitting the beach. Pay no mind that pieces in the collection look strikingly similar
to pieces from Luella’s GO collection. London and Paris are hip euro-neighbors after all.
So who’s next for Target? Some are grinding the rumor mill with the boys from Proenza Schouler…which makes total sense because they are American based designers and Target is an American company trying to showcase higher-end merchandise through INTERNATIONAL designers. But hey, their names sound foreign, right?
