The older my dad gets, the more he’s decided that life is meant to be celebrated.

Every milestone, big or small, turns into an excuse to pop something bubbly. The latest was my younger sister’s engagement. We all flew out to California to celebrate her, and my dad actually checked six bottles of champagne on the plane. That’s his thing: showing up with wine, opening a bottle before anyone’s even taken their coat off, and turning any special moment into a forever memory.

Growing up, I didn’t fully get it. Wine felt like something reserved for Serious Adults who swirled, sniffed, and used words like tannins. But over the years (and after countless family toasts), I’ve realized that wine is really about connection and sharing something good with the people you love. That’s probably why I’ve become the friend who always shows up to housewarmings with a bottle of red, or that person at dinner who insists the meal isn’t complete without “just a little sip.” (Thanks, Dad.)

Now that we’re fully in the holiday season, this is the time to bring that spirit of celebration to the table. And if there’s one place that makes stocking up feel easy and fun, it’s Total Wine. They have an incredible selection at every price point, and right now, you can shop gift-worthy wines that are all $25 or less… which means you can grab a bottle for every occasion and not have to worry about blowing your whole holiday budget. Whether you’re shopping for hosts, coworkers, in-laws, or yourself, there are so many gems to choose from.

With that in mind, here are five wines from Total Wine that I’m loving for the holidays.

La Vostra Prosecco (now $11.99)

La Vostra Prosecco is one of my favorite holiday picks because it feels festive and bubbly without being too boozy. It’s light and bright with notes of green apple, peach, and soft florals, making it an easy crowd-pleaser for any gathering. Prosecco also has a lower alcohol content than most wines, so it’s perfect for long celebrations where you want to sip without feeling weighed down.

It pairs best with appetizers like cheese boards, olives, shrimp cocktail, or anything salty and snackable, because the crisp bubbles cut right through. If you’re hosting, gifting, or just stocking up on something celebratory for under $25, this is definitely one to grab.

Caliveda Pinot Noir ($16.49)

Caliveda Pinot Noir is an ideal holiday red: elegant, versatile, and crowd-friendly. Its light-to-medium body with classic notes of red cherry, raspberry, and soft earthy undertones strikes a great balance between flavor and approachability.

It even earned a 2025 Wine Award for Best Wine for Hosting, which is proof that it pairs well with just about anything! I’d pour this with roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, creamy pasta dishes, or carb-heavy holiday sides. If you want a thoughtful, easy-drinking red under $25 that feels festive, this one’s a winner.

Olema Sauvignon Blanc Loire 2024 ($15.99)

This crisp white from the Loire Valley is a holiday-ready pick when you want something refreshing, easy to drink, and food-friendly. Olema offers bright citrus and stone-fruit flavors (think lemon zest, green apple, white peach skin) with a touch of herbal freshness and a clean, mineral-driven finish.

It’s ideal for seafood, light appetizers, green salads, or anything with herbs—and since it’s light-bodied with lively acidity, it’s great for gatherings where you’re nibbling, mingling, and sipping all night.

Louis Bouillot Perle de Vigne Cremant de Bourgogne Brut Sparkling Wine ($23.99)

This French Crémant is a fabulous Champagne-style sparkling wine that delivers serious festive flair without the Champagne price tag. It’s lively and bright, with notes of pear, fresh apple, citrus, and a lovely hint of brioche or toasted bread. Its crisp acidity makes it a good aperitif, but it works well with lots of different foods, from seafood and shellfish, to light appetizers or even brunch snacks.

If you want a bottle under $25 that still feels celebratory, classy, and dinner-party ready, this is a sneaky-good pick that will earn all the compliments while staying budget-friendly. Even my dad (who is famously picky about bubbles) gave this sparkling wine a nod of approval, which is about as high as praise gets in my family.

Bella Strada Bellini Peach Sparkling Wine ($11.99)

If you ask me, peach isn’t just a fruit—it’s a whole mood. So when I saw this Peach Sparkling Wine, I was instantly intrigued. It’s a bubbly that brings a playful, fruit-forward twist to sparkling wine, with juicy peach notes that taste like summer (even in the middle of winter).

It’s perfect for brunches. Think mimosas, pancakes, baked brie, fresh fruit platters, or a simple pastry spread… the peachiness adds just enough sweetness and brightness to elevate even the most casual mid-morning meal. Because it leans lighter and more fun than a heavy red or a straight-up brut, it works best for meals where you’re sitting and lingering. It’s a little light-hearted and unexpected, with a lot to love.

Whether you’re shopping for loved ones or just gifting yourself (zero judgment), I hope something here finds its way into your cart. If you’re ready to stock up, you can find all of these picks at Total Wine. Cheers to all the sips that make your holiday season shine!
