Newsflash: Another Model-Turned-Designer (But Still A Model) Collab

We just learned that ubiquitous model Jessica Stam (of the Marc Jacobs “Stam” bag) is joining forces with the design duo over at Rag & Bone. No word yet on what the newly formed trio’s line will be called, but they were unanimous about the collaboration at a recent party celebrating Rag & Bone’s launch at Intermix. [Style.com]

We’re betting Stam plus Rag & Bone designers Marcus Wrainwright and David Neville will come up with something pretty great, so we’re hoping those clothes will fit more than just willowy 5-foot-9 types. While the collaboration is still in the cat’s whisker stage, we’ll try to squeeze into these high-waisted skinny jeans ($242).

How To Wear: A Jumpsuit (If You Are Not A Painter Or In The Air Force)

Jumpsuits rank up there with harem pants as a trend that frightens yet intrigues at the same time. We see them in shop windows looking fabulous on faceless mannequins, but wonder how in the world one could actually manage to show up at a party without resembling Tom Cruise in Top Gun.

Here’s how:

Pick one that’s not entirely full-length, and has a waist. This will break up the silhouette and flatter the body. Accessorize like crazy in order to balance the draped fabric. Layer two necklaces and add a strong cuff to make your ensemble evening-appropriate. Nude heels are always a wise choice for summer, and a subtly patterned clutch will make the whole outfit come together.

Gisele can add green advocate to her resume; she’s signed on to host GiGi & The Green Team, a series of animated webisodes about a supermodel by day who turns into an environmentalist superhero at night. A reader recently sent us a very timely query-

Dear SheFinds,

Can you wear dark jeans in the summer?

We feel your pain here. Dark jeans are so flattering, but they can look out of place in the summer sunshine. Just remember, light and flowy on top balances dark on the bottom.

For a night on the town, try pairing your dark skinny jeans, like this flattering pair ($90), with a loose tunic ($42) and some open-toed heels.

Another great time to break out the dark jeans in July – casual Friday. A tailored wide-leg jean makes you look professional. Try this trouser by Anlo ($207) – which I happen to own and adore – with this breezy, yet structured J. Crew cami ($88).
