Swap Your Crappy Old Handbag For This Cool Leather One (It’s 30% Off Today)

I haven’t bought a new handbag in three years–mine is classic enough to last, and with age, the leather has gotten even better. But these days, it’s looking a little beat up, so I set out to hunt down a new one that’s under $150, real leather, with a thick strap, roominess and cool details. Check it out:

This State & Lake tassel hobo bag ($138, from $198) looks really high end: check out the slouchiness and the effortlessly cool tassels, plus the sturdy hardware rings on the side. I can see myself wearing it to work, on the weekends, and out at night, too. Confession: I’m a sucker for cool linings on both coats and bags, so this silk ikat print really sealed the deal.

The outside looks buttery soft, but the lining looks terrible. They should take a note from J. Crew and do an edgy lining, instead of something that looks like a 5th grader trying to draw a tiger.
